The Ladle Of Repentance Or The Ladle Of Judgment?

The Ladle Of Repentance Or The Ladle Of Judgment?

The Pots Are Boiling

In this season, it seems as if almost every nation, society and institution in the world is like a pot on a stove under which the heat has been turned up to the boiling point, and all the dregs once hidden in the bottom of each pot are now being forced to the surface and exposed to be skimmed off.

The Church Is Not Exempt

The Church/Body of Christ at-large is not exempt from this time of heat and exposure. It is happening in our midst on both a corporate and individual level worldwide.

The heat has been turned up under our pots as well, and the dregs that were once hidden, in some instances for years, are now being forced to the surface and exposed for skimming.

Repentance Or Judgment

For us, this skimming can occur by one of two ways, by the ladle of repentance or the ladle of judgment…which will you choose?

As the heat turns up in our lives and God exposes the dregs that have been hidden at the bottom of the pot of our hearts and now need to be skimmed off, may we humbly and quickly choose the ladle of repentance so that the ladle of His disciplinary judgment will not be our lot.

Prideful resistance to repenting of revealed sin hinders the manifested presence of God’s joy in our lives. We may outwardly try to fake having joy, but without genuine, godly, heartfelt, remediating, repentance, there will be no true divine joy within us.

A Place Of Divine Joy

As our pots boil in this season, by God’s Grace and our willing hearts, may we continually pick up the ladle of repentance and allow God to skim off whatever sinful dregs He brings to the surface in our lives that are not pleasing to Him.

This lifestyle of skimming the exposed sinful dregs in our lives by using the ladle of repentance will allow the restoration and continued presence of the joy of God’s salvation within us, and that divine joy will give us much needed supernatural strength as we navigate through these uncertain, tumultuous times, and will be a testimony of God’s existence, Goodness, Mercy and Grace.

The heat is turned up, the pots are boiling, when the dregs surface in your life, which ladle will you choose?

The ladle of repentance or the ladle of judgment?

Selah.

“…..Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

(James 4:6 – NKJV)

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

(1 John 1:9 – NKJV)

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.”

(Psalm 51:10-12 – NKJV)

“…for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

(Nehemiah 8:10 – NKJV)

Let Go Of The Dead Things

Let Go Of The Dead Things

Holding On To Dead Things

Can you imagine a tree, covered in old, dry, brittle, lifeless, brown leaves yet refusing to shed them?

A tree, knowing in its core that new, crisp, vibrant, life-filled, green leaves are inside it waiting to burst forth, yet refusing to shed the old, dry brittle lifeless brown ones, perhaps because they’ve been in their place for a long time, and have functioned well and still have their form and still give shade…but they have no life

Can you imagine a tree doing that?

But before you scoff at and criticize the tree, take a look at your own life.

Are you like that tree in any way?

What old, dry, brittle, lifeless, things are you holding onto that you know in your core that the Lord has told you it’s time to release, yet you continue to hold on to?

A position, friendship, relationship?

A job, career, investment?

A denomination, place of fellowship, ministry function?

A habit, attitude, way of speaking, thinking, or dressing?

What old, dry, brittle, lifeless, things are you holding on to that the Lord has told you it’s time to release?

You know that these things no longer carry life.

You know in your heart that they are dead, yet you still continue to give them CPR and to hold on to them.

It’s Time To Let Go

Two things can not occupy the same space.

The old old must go in order for the new to come.

Today the Lord says…

“Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland.”

Isaiah 43:18, 19 – NIV

What are you going to do?

Let this be your moment of change.

By the grace of God stop giving CPR to the dead things in your life…shed those old, dry, brittle, lifeless, brown leaves…loose them and let then go.

God wants to do a new thing in and through you and wants to get new things to you.

So shun fear, pride or whatever may be holding you back.

Trust God and take the leap of faith today.

Release the old things that God has spoken to you about and make room for and position yourself to receive the new.

God is waiting on you.

“Stop dwelling on the past.
Don’t even remember these former things.
19 I am doing something brand new, something unheard of.
Even now it sprouts and grows and matures.
    Don’t you perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
and open up flowing streams in the desert.

(Isaiah 43:18, 19 – TPT)
